Score of the Game:
Giants 13 Packers 35
Highlights of the Game:
Not even an inspirational appearance by Eli Manning could prevent the Giants from falling into a hole two weeks into the 2007 season. After a week of speculation about his availability because of a shoulder injury he suffered last week, Manning started Sunday’s home opener against the Green Bay Packers. He played reasonably well, completing 16 of 29 passes for 211 yards and a touchdown. But the Giants’ defense had trouble containing Green Bay quarterback Brett Favre, who threw three touchdown passes
Tailgate Highlights:
Welcome home!!?? Our Sam Adams' Octoberfests toasted each other high, yet below our feet rested on new soil. 18 F doesn't have as great a ring to it as 17 E, but who wants to tailgate near a bunch of school buses anyhow? Barratt Park's new location was staked, claimed, and feasted upon courtesy of Hu-Rea Productions. 17 E Tailagtors faced what could have been a disastrous relocation, yet Shawn and Gary faced the unknown with poise...and burgers and dogs!!! Big Marty no doubt smiled as homage was made to his "Back to Basics" brand of tailgating, complete with chili dogs, brats, and cheeseburgers. Tom Coughlin "Jerk" Shrimp was a key addition, as Giants fans would be saying the word 'Jerk' often by game's end and their early exit from the stadium. Cheers tailgators...to a new home and season!
