Score of the Game:
Giants 17 Vikings 41
Highlights of the Game:
The Giants could have been on easy street heading toward the NFL playoffs, but now must travel a hard road as they try to reach their postseason destination. Given a chance to open a two-game lead on their competitors in the NFC Wild Card race, the Giants played their worst game of the season today and fell to the Minnesota Vikings in Giants Stadium, 41-17. The Giants are 7-4 (3-3 at home) with road games at playoff contenders Chicago and Philadelphia looming the next two weeks. "I wish there was some simple explanation for this game, but there isn’t,” Coach Tom Coughlin said. “We played very, very poorly.”It was the Giants’ worst defeat since a 31-7 loss in Washington on Dec. 5, 2004 and their biggest loss at home since a 50-21 defeat to Washington on Sept. 19, 1999. Eli Manning tied a career-high by throwing four interceptions, including three that were returned for touchdowns by Darren Sharper (20 yards), Dwight Smith (93) and Chad Greenway (37).
Tailgate Highlights:
What the Vikings made famous through scandal and debauchery, Giants fans made famous through good food and tunes. On a bright, beautiful Sunday the denizens of the island of 18F turned out for what would become a true “pleasure” cruise. Once the Lido Bar was built and established, the drinks began to flow, and dirty minds prevailed. Hunger followed thirst, and so partiers filled up on homemade Lake Winnetonka Clam Chowder, Boathouse Broccoli Casserole, and an all-out assault of tits and ass – stuffed chicken breasts and rump roast. An interesting twist was added for a happy ending when the traditional Andes mint was given a soft cookie pillow to lie within. But who could forget the newest member of the tailgaters of 18F, especially when she graced the island with such fine dancing and stripping? Judy!! She arrived to provide a lapdance for Tony for his birthday, and ended up serving as escort for all single tailgaters throughout the day. The tailgate sought to service all the carnal pleasures of Giants fans, without a police report ever needing be written. So while Daunte Culpepper and his fellow Vikings continue to lament their bad press of several years ago, the tailgaters experienced several firsts today at 18F as we all crashed the Vikings Party Boat for a raunchy raucous ride in the Meadowlands.
